Lawson-Cruttenden
& Co. was founded in February 1996 and specialises in harassment
litigation and advocacy, particularly in the context of direct action
protest groups.
It is the leading practice in the areas of "harassment"
and "stalking" and assisted in the drafting of the "Protection
from Harassment Act 1997". Mr Lawson-Cruttenden is co-author of
Blackstone's Guide to that Act.
Tim Lawson-Cruttenden has a well trained and capable staff who
are accustomed to providing an efficient and friendly service. He
is the co-author of two text books and has written more that 150
published articles on various legal subjects over the past 5 years.
Tim Lawson-Cruttenden was commissioned in the Blues and Royals
during his gap year and served as an officer in the British Army.
After being a full time officer he was an exhibitioner at Sydney
Sussex College, Cambridge where he read History and Law. He has
had a broad experience within the legal world since qualifying as
a solicitor in 1979.
He is an enthusiastic solicitor-advocate and regularly appears
in the High Court. He has also appeared in the Court of Appeal on
harassment matters.
He appeared as advocate, on behalf of the Claimant, in the case
that created the tort of harassment in 1996 (Burris v Azadani).
