Cohabitation Agreements
Cohabitation
Lawson-Cruttenden & Co are able to advise couples who are going through the ordeal of relationship breakdown. Such situations can be both mentally and emotionally stressful at the best of times and we are able to offer advice on such matters as the division of assets and the custody of children.
Cohabitation agreements
Cohabitation agreements are legally binding and should be entered into by couples who are living together and are neither married nor in a civil partnership.
These agreements are important in “ring-fencing” designated assets and can create a clear and systematic legal basis for this relationship. In the event of relationship break down these agreements can significantly lower legal costs as they facilitate the work of the Courts and clearly set out the expectations and obligations of both parties to the agreement.
Lawson-Cruttenden & Co has a great deal of experience in dealing with cohabitation agreements and is able to offer advice on the drafting and terms of such agreements.
